Rx Iverhart Max Large 50100 lbs (Single Tablet)

Iverhart Max is a broad-spectrum heartworm preventative and dewormer for large dogs. This pork-flavored chewable combines ivermectin, pyrantel pamoate, and praziquantel to protect against heartworm disease, eliminate the tissue stage of heartworm larvae (Dirofilaria immitis), and treat and control common intestinal worms including roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms.

• Strength & Count: 272 mcg ivermectin / 228 mg pyrantel pamoate / 228 mg praziquantel; 1 chewable tablet

• Class: Antiparasitic (heartworm preventive + intestinal dewormer).

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Eliminates tissue-stage larvae of Dirofilaria immitis (not effective against adult heartworms).

  • Intestinal Parasites:

    • Roundworms: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina

    • Hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma braziliense

    • Tapeworms: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis

• Age/Weight Requirements: For dogs 8 weeks of age and older, weighing 50.1100 lbs.

• Flavor: Palatable pork-flavored chewable.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: Dogs must be tested for existing heartworm infection before starting. Safe use not evaluated in pregnant or lactating dogs.

• Contraindications/Cautions:

  • Not for dogs under 10 lbs.

  • Use with caution in Collies and herding breeds sensitive to ivermectin.

  • Not for use in cats or other species.

• Possible Side Effects: Vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, hypersalivation, or neurologic signs may occur. Overdoses require immediate veterinary attention.

• Storage: Store in a tight, light-resistant, childproof container at 5977F (1525C). Protect from moisture and sunlight.

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
